Born 1984, London.

Hermione’s landscapes are inspired by a sense of disappearance and a loss of self within nature; a separate, accidental, indefinable world, at the same time, ordered, rhythmic, specific and unifying.

Starting from her own drawings, found photographs, natural patterns, stains and accidental marks, Hermione layers and builds images echoing how we map memories and subsequently our own identities in a patchwork of fragments and fractured stories.

Amongst others, she is inspired by Louise Bourgeois, J. W Turner and Virginia Woolf.
